Responsible for defining the product strategy, developing and executing the product roadmap, managing financial growth and profitability, and developing market requirements based on cloud edge, cloud, SASE, SD-WAN, network and IT technologies. Leads and directs the development and strategy for Lumen SASE and SD-WAN capabilities targeted at Enterprise and Federal Government agencies. Responsible for defining a competitive portfolio of software-based WAN capabilities and technologies that ensure our Cloud Edge roadmap is differentiated and market relevant. Defines, develops and leads how we deliver experiences to our customers. Focused on the customer experience with an ability to understand and translate market opportunities and customer needs into market requirements and product value messaging.
Direct strategy, delivery, and adoption of Managed Security Services for Public Sector/ Federal Government customer segments. Develop new products / services ensuring industry leading and robust Managed Security Services product portfolio. Collaborate with cross functional leadership team, in an agile environment, to determine and execute strategic vision for Managed Security, and with vendors to form partnerships that productize and monetize cutting edge technologies. Actively manage Federal MTIPS, TIC 3.0, SASE, Zero Trust (ZTNA), SaaS Cloud based Managed Firewall and EDR supporting $50M+ in Federal Revenue.
Managed strategy, definition, launch, pricing, and positioning of new Data products (to multiple sales channels in numerous countries) including: MPLS/ Private IP, IP VPN, Global Managed Security, Hosting, and Collocation services and other value-added services to create a portfolio worth more than $70M.
As Senior Manager, I managed and owned our cornerstone product (MPLS/ Network based IP VPN) being bid in Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Federal Government Networx contract worth more than $300M over 10 years. I had the opportunity to direct our product marketing efforts including the creation of channel collateral, marketing strategy, customer presentations, and all product launch activities.
Identified opportunity and launched managed services and cloud portfolio to enhance Data services. Led vendor assessment and contract negotiation which resulted in large Fortune 50 deals in which Managed Services requirements were a critical component and ensured success
Increasing levels of ownership and P&L responsibility in directing Ethernet, Internet, IP VPN, Managed Services, Cloud, and Security Product lines. I have the opportunity to develop concept documents and business cases for opportunities and to prioritize to build multiyear product roadmap and strategy.
Provided vision and formulated strategy to continue global service expansion of MCI’s Private IP to over 95 countries. Negotiated and managed global partnerships with international carriers, service providers, and CPE/ equipment vendors enabling MCI to expand their MPLS network services to key emerging markets including China, India, and Latin America.
